Just before you turn there's another scream which is deftly silenced coming from the corridor on the right.

The corridor extends perhaps forty feet, about twenty feet down on the right is a pair of loose fitting wooden double-doors, light shining through the gaps between ceiling and floor. You also notice that the corridor has been half-finished with masonry bricks, and the floor is covered in rubble. The whole place seems to be a mish-mash of various materials, a dungeon under continual construction.

Right at the end however, is a crouching goblin lofting a shortspear above his head, staring right down at you with a scowl. He seems to be in a freshly mined alcove.

Initiatives please - Forenrond and Mr Goblin get to duke it out for one round before the rest of you get to play.

Not too shabby. If I go first I'll duck back around the corner.

Haha, okay. Good call. He loses initiative and uses his move/standard action to leg it through the double doors.

Forenrond recognises his startled yelp of..

As he slams the door behind him.

In such case, I don't think it's necessary for you to act in order to fight an empty corridor. Carry on, lads.

Cheeky bastard, I'm not an Elf.

So what now? No point me scouting, they know we're here.

Well, I may have jumped the gun with my Bardic Music, but I may as well keep playing as it's a once per day job.

Well, assuming you still want to take a peek through a gap in that double-door.

You see a rectangular room with six pillars running down the middle, two sets of three.

On the far wall is a gagged Goblin strung up in shackles by his wrists, kicking and moaning to be set down. He's completely nude, and from what you can see quite battered and bruised. A lumbering Orc comes in to view between the line of pillars, lifts an axe from his side with one hand, and roughly tears the gag from his captive's mouth. It screams and begs for mercy, shaking its head. This one is also silenced as the axe swings around and separates his head from his neck. It topples to the floor like a coconut in a shy.

Between a couple of the pillars on the right of the room you can see one remaining Goblin strung up by his arms, also gagged. He seems to be 'next'.

To the left of the room you see two armoured goblins.
There's the one that had his spear in hand, and another one lifting a spiked mace above his head, reading to swing at the first thing that comes inside.

Oh look, another Map of exploration because I worry that my descriptions of rooms suck.

Little fuckers. I'll draw them out.

I'll knock an arrow and get ready to twang it through the gap at clubby goblin.

I shall also try to lure the gobbos out (whilst still rocking out with my banjo out).

Are there any light sources apart from my torch, or do I need to take it with me if I go anywhere?

Next town, I'm buying a new pair of eyes.

There's light coming from the room Forenrond's standing outside, and down the opposite passage there's a dim glimmer from around one of the corners. It's pretty common knowledge that Goblins and Orcs both have darkvision - a natural ability that allows them to see things in pitch-black conditions. They'll often defend their lairs by plunging parts of it into darkness.

Can I has shoot someone?

It's not a massive gap, but you're skilled with a bow, so you can have a go.
At the angle you're at you could probably try and fire an arrow down the centre of the room and hit the Orc's arse.

I think an arse-shot counts as a surprise round.

That'll do, let's see if I can plug his hoop.

Can I assume that the orc had only one hit point, and that it exploded in a shower of gore and bone shrapnel, killing the two goblins too? And dropped a magic bow?

Okay, I'm ready! Ready for action! Ready for adventure!
Ready to simulate an Orc getting shot in the arse!

He yelps as the arrow slices through his leather bum-flap, jumping a foot in the air and stumbling forwards.
Big guy walks over to the last goblin hanging from the wall and decapitates him, too.

The double-door is flung open, and the Orc splattered with the viscera and gore of several goblins at the end of the room holds his hand-axe up to his shoulder, ready to toss it.

Initiatives everyone, please!

Anyone apart from Forenrond can also make a spot check.
