I think I mentioned before I find the shoulder buttons on the 360 confusing, as they're sometimes abbreviated in games to RT and RB for Right Trigger and Right Back - not Right Top/Bottom, which would be the other way around.

I used to have one of These, going back something like 15 or 16 years back. and they still make em now.......

Also had one called a speed king. now that was a REAL joystick!

I was always a big fan of the sega saturn pads, just because they fitted into my hands perfectly, and didn't cramp up after hours of use. If someone made a pad like that these days, and enlarged it a bit to account for the fact I've grown since I was 9 I'd be a very happy person.

Failing that, Xbox S controller. Never liked how chunky the original pads were.

The mothership was ok, but I was refering to the normal one. I use to play stuff like sega rally alot, so it was perfect.
