I was not debating stories, lol. That's no contest really.

And yes, the D3 engine is a resource whore. That real-time dynamic lighting is a bitch for all the shadows it calculates...


I can deal with some lacking graphics if the story rocks, but a somewhat pretty game with a shit story won't garner any attention from me.

Case in point: the No One Lives Forever series. NOLF 1 & 2 aren't the best looking games around, but they are definetly the funniest, and easily in the top 10 games I have played.

Ok, let's apply the Nickface Theory of Gaming here:

1) Do you feel interested in said game?
2) Have you played said game?
3) Did you have fun playing said game?

If you answered "yes" to all three of these, then piss on what source engine is better than another. It's all about fun, ladies.

IMO, what game is best comes down to it's weaponry, most importantly the shotguns.
