On the 'need to do' list, what about getting the Alliance some isk!
What's the rest of the alliance like on getting together for an op? I know 5punk in the past has had trouble getting enough combat support together for a large DS, but what about all the pew pew power of the whole Hobo lot?
Hell, we could 5pam the heck out of level 4's for that matter and make some iskies and loot and salvage. Turn on the corp's taxes for the day, (say 50% or so!) and stock up on all the T1 fittings we might need, and melt the rest for a tractor beam stockpile. (If we work it out well, we'll also have a good spread of salvage to build into rigs that we can either stock the corp with, or sell for even more corp wallet goodness).
If somebody has the time and would like to post this to Hobos as well, please feel free, (can't acces them from werk, and INTERNET FAILED at home last night!).
Back to work and homework though, I realllly want to play on Sunday, if the chance presents itself!

We might get one or two interested (Steamy perhaps), but most of them are insanely rich already (Amith "I could go out and buy a mothership now" and Lilan "Making billions is easy" and Butter "I lost 10bill in a scam and don't really care"). Lyrus has just picked up a T2 Cargo Expander BPO and have 16bill of carrier BPO's and being RL mates are significantly better at working together on these things than we are.
5punkorp is pretty poor by comparison, but we do all tend to try and make isk as individuals or rely on one person to do all the hard work, which doesn't help matters really. Bit of teamwork on something like invention would pay dividends.

Speakng of which, is anyone here aside me capable of producing datacores from R&D agents? Some more teamwork around here would really be a breath of fresh air instead of every man for himself bar mining
Lyrus are our size, and pretty similar in silly outlooks and SP, yet they're vastly more wealthy than we are. I pose you this question: Why?
Friz has said it, and I'll repeat it: Teamwork. Mining we've got down to a tee, PVP we're getting pretty decent at, why can't we do something together that'll benefit those who help with large quantities of isk?

I've said it in another post... I'm game for Invention, I'll either chip in ISK or be the Inventor (or both).

You know centerededgedesign you given me a Idea! if we have other lvl 4 agents going we turn the corp taxs 100% All you need is a Tanker/ Gank setup / Slavage and hauler for loot.
4 people in each group! When i have my raven back i try and fit it up pimp to tank and spam some missiles and the gank deal with pure damage crusie/ Targat panters/ BCU.
atm i can do lvl 3 as i still got my drake. I going to work on the passive skill tho.

Corp doesn't need isk. People do. We've tried the central funding idea where everyone earns isk for the corp and then the corp buys/build stuff for everyone in return. Problem is, it ends up with 2 people doing all the work and everyone else getting the benefits, which is unfair and sucks balls. We've seen how lamentably crap we are at even building a few bs's for our corp mates over the last 6 weeks. So from now on, all projects will be based on one premise: buy in. Someone comes up with an idea and if you want a slice of the pie, you gotta earn it.
The corp will need some isk from time to time: paying for jump fuel to get our stuff shifted around, buying the odd BPO that will benefit us all, and I'd still like to be able to produce cruisers, frigs and T1 modules for free to corp mates if possible (means people with limited play time aren't totally excluded). Of course, the corp can always 'buy in' to a project as well with a bit of isk, so it doesn't have to be a tax rate.
Pete's trading idea is a good example where this might work: he sells shares to us, the corp buys a few too, we help him out shifting stuff around from time to time or with escorts, but he takes the lead on it. Same goes fot invention and any other ideas people come up with. We've got a broad spectrum of skills in the corp: let's start using them a bit better.

Good stuff. I've got rig inventertron bpc in Elgoi. If you fancy taking the lead on this let us know the plan and what we can do to help. Might be worth a new thread though
Edit: If Dolly's alt really does have most of the encryption skills trained, that's about 50% of the costs already. Also need to look at the skill req's needed to build the invented stuffs. FYI Mano can build all T2 components and a fair smattering of T2 modules already. Also got access to a full set of researched component BPO's.

OK I'll knock up a semi-business plan soonTM.
The easy part is pricing up the pre-requisite skills and components, the hard part is predicting the success rate of invention which will have a rather large say in the ROI I/we can offer - so to begin with it might have to be a little faith/percentage based.
Edit: Dolly has teh skillzors already?

I have a few of the things that help with invention and some materials if we are interested in them. Next time I can get on I'll look them up. Right now my main priority is trying to find time to even play.

Right now with decryptors, best named items, max run BPC and all skills at 4 you have aproximatly a 40% success rate with items, and 15% with ships. Item BPCs yeld 19 runs (depending upon decryptor) while ships yeld 9. Ship invention however, is vastly more expensive than item, and even on stuff like hulks you barely break even.
Soon as Eve-o comes up, I'll be able to get the formula that some clever peoples worked out invention is based on (baring the hidden random factor)

So, basically we'd be better off inventing some item than trying to go after ships, right? What's something that everyone could use, but isn't vastly overdone on the market? My first thoughts come to T2 ammo and T2 drones, which we'd be able to use as well. How do those rate for selling and markup I wonder. That, and we have most of the bpo's for them already, I believe.
I'm thinking that production and seeding poorly serviced markets would be profitable as well. With T2 expanders available from a Hobo's ally, we could all do a weekly run from Jita to wherever we set ourselves up at. Maybe even set up a ginormous corp buy order at cheap rates to stock ammo's and such to be doled out at an even exchange to members selling them for a profit elsewheres.
In Fw4ppers we found a level 4 agent that didn't have anyone selling large ammo in station. We filled that, and made some money over time. Everyone needs ammo, (except me, but even I lose a drone from time to time), and buying it local is the convenience that people will pay a little bit more for.
