There's one or two games that interest me for the PS3, but not enough to ever consider buying one.

The same goes for the Wii and 360 really. Give it another year and I might consider buying one of the next gen consoles.

You've got it backwords there. Sony (the largest Blu-Ray disc maker by far, I believe in the 75-80% range) has said it will not manufacture adult content on Blu-Ray. Porn is going HD-DVD man.

Fuck em both. Ive never actually spent monies on porn, so it makes no difference to me either way; the only way im getting HD nipples is via teh interwebs.

Besides, I would need a considerably shinier (and larger) telly to notice the difference, and that aint going to happen any time soon.

This is true, just like Betamax, there will be no blu-ray p0rnz0r from Sony. HD prawn is already prolific however, the company I work for owns exclusive rights to quite a few UK/US directors' HD releases.

That's not to say that there won't be any Blu-ray per0n, but how high definition do you really need, I mean you don't need to see what the actor had for lunch the day before the shoot... The trade only magazine ETO did a big piece on Blu-Ray and it's pwn applications last month. From what I can tell, most of the big companies & distributors (us included) are going for HD-DVD or amusingly 'pay per minute' content to stream online.

So in short, it's too soon to totally rule out Blu-Ray pr0nz0r, but early indications show it'll be about as prolific as Betamax pr0n.

I fucking hate the term 'trench-coat brigade'. In the 3 years I've worked in the industry NOT FUCKING ONCE have I seen a single trench coat porn browser, let alone a fucking brigade of them. That kind of backwards thinking is why people can't feel comfortable watching a bit of porn.

no one has said that there won't be any Blu-Ray porn, just that Sony won't have any part in making it, and since they produce the large majority of stamped Blu-Ray discs, there won't be nearly as much of it as there will be for HD-DVD, unless Blu-Ray manages to push HD-DVD off the market.

I just hate the term 'brigade' in general (apart from when actually referring to a brigade). It just seems like a twee way of making a stereotype seem like there's actually a group of people out there who justify it. Another product of lazy journalism.

Also, I'm doing my bit on the porn front by being happy to admit liking it, to Mrs Pants's friends for example.

I do not own a single porn DVD, but I have rather an extensive collection - and most of it paid for. The internet and high-speed broadband are the mediums of choice for todays fans.

Very few of the producers I favour would be able to produce material of a high enough quality to justify HD quality, or it would require they upgrade their equipment and fees to do so.
I find myself rather bored by the work of producers that concentrate on perfect shots of everything, and even the hottest porn star starts to look a bit ropey when you get in too close - I just can't see the need for it.
