The only thing I said to Count in the PM was 'we'll be gone by the weekend' and 'please don't tell anyone until I post on the forum'. I've not had a peep from him about it since, despite chatting with him about other stuff last night. I posted on the CEO forum this morning saying we'll be leaving as well, so word's officially out. narf, there's no reason why we can't pull this afternoon. Feel free to start a thread somewhere more public on the ISS forum if you want to say your goodbyes.
damn you who ever said 5 days got me all high and mighty now i can be my normal self. lets get out of there asap and out of ISS and make some isk in peace.
friz i was expecting something longer and more grandioso about our departure from you.
side note - hey fear i got angel extravaganza in taru where you were helping me out last night. if anyone would like to get crazy and do bonus stage we can it should be fun. 2k DPS
and can anyone who is on tell me what agents are around that new base. i am looking for amarr/caladari agents.
Edit: that's the short version for the public board. I scribbled a note in the CEO forum this morning and have just added a longer explanation for their benefit. Fea or Dolly can copy it here if they think it's worth it. (Summary: we were leaving before Christmas, then IAC happened, now it's done we're going anyway).
More Edit: Stins stripped his roles two days ago. He was planning to leave and reform ISSL anyway. That well known alcoholic beverage of his is staying in 5punkorp for now though.
Morrill would also like to stay with us despite having Jack Slade in OGPC.
WooYay! Please somebody post the public notice here, I was waiting for ISS forum access, but it looks like I'll not ever get it now!
Got my can from Hoth grabbed, it had alot of my mining stuff, now I just need a barge, probably try to find one close, and move my Iteron over on Sunday. Will work out nicely, having all the WT's gone on Sunday, as I'll just do my giant slog of homework/research work on Saturday instead now!
Fate may provide a chance for me to get online tonite, depends on timeliness of airlines and such, so anyone's guess is as good as mine.
WOOOO for 5punk ops and minings again! Also WOOT for Friz's headaches winding down! Poor chap needs a break and extra bummings!
Feafalas wrote:It is with regret but hope for the future that I must announce the departure of 5punkorp from the ISS alliance.
We have been members since the 25th November 2005 and in that time have witnessed the rise and fall of the starbase IPOs, defended ISS assets and our home systems in bloody and massive battles, dabbled with POS farms, experienced the best (and worst) of PvP, chatted and worked with some fantastic alliance members.
My thanks go to you all for your hospitality and friendship throughout this time. A mark of how much we respect the work of Count and the alliance could be the two members of alliance membership we had in our ranks for a large amount of time considering we joined as a corp of only 20 friends.
We will follow the fortunes of ISS and wish the alliance every success in Geminate and beyond.
The reason for our departure is mostly simple: Constant warfare has been too great a drain on our resources and membership. The last four months have seen some of the biggest battles ever recorded in Eve, and a 5punker has been present at almost every single one. We have always been on the front lines as well as at the back. Our members have produced ships and arms, hauled countless m3 of materiel to the warzones and thrown our biomass onto the pyres. We are going to return to empire to rest and recuperate, to remember why we log on every week or every day, to regain our corp spirit and ethic which has become lost slightly. Our numbers will grow, our strength will return and we will break down the doors of 0.0 again. Whether that's on our own or with an alliance we couldn't say.
To all ISS pilots: Thank you and good luck.
To Count: Congratulations on achieving the impossible with ISS and realising some fantastic aims. I wish you all the best and my personal thanks for all the help and assistance you gave me and my corp over the last year or more.
To the management: Well done. As diplomats, logisticians and commanders you time and again proved yourselves more than capable.
