I really don't think we need another forum
We are a gaming site and anything else goes in 'general', well except for entertainment which as gamers most of us are naturally interested in entertainy things so it seems related

It makes forums look less active than they are, and makes searching for things, or the chance of google coming up with a result on them nigh on impossible.
Popular threads will always be popular threads, but containing something that should be discussed forum wide within 1 post is just silly.
Not sure what that means. Are you saying we shouldn't have long threads or ressurect old ones?

Shouldn't this be in a new thread?

I agree with them guys up there.
A food and drink forum would detract from the basic premise of the site, whereas the wiki would make a far better place to store info longer-term. There isn't, in my opinion, the volume of topics to warrant anything beyond the General forum for now, and the wiki is very underused to the extent that I've never really looked at it!
The main problem with the whole long-thread/new-thread thing is that we're very good at attaining tangents in here, sometimes comical ones sometimes just tangential discussions of other things. When reading a thread I often have a <strike>brainfart</strike> flash of inspiration and go off to start a new thread, but sometimes, for no particular reason, it seems more appropriate to just post in the current thread. Most of the time it would probably justify a new thread, but I guess that I've just gotten used to the way 5punk works. However, it can be difficult when searching for past info because the discussion you want was often in a thread with a totally unrelated title!

instead of a new forum....maybe have a sticky in General for the Top Topics....like threads with 5+ pages which would include all the foods n drinks and polls etc.
