UT2K4 installed and patched. There's a Win 64 patch floating around for it, if anyone's interested.

I vote a game of that predator-style game in Tokara Forest, and a few rounds of Facing Worlds.

I have it on steam, do I still need to install said patch? And any map is good for me as I know nothing about UT. (apart from all the glorious eyerape)

This appears to be most of the old custom maps we used. Just in case people fancy some nostalgias.

No idea where the badger skin is though.

Oh god, I just ran around a map all alone on eyebleedspeed mode.

I can feel my eyes trying to fall out of my face.

Should I install this on the child's computer, just to see if he gets a nosebleed or something?

Bah!

As I have decided to just buy the pack, I have been informed that I don't get an extra copy of ut3, since when did that happen, cheeky bastards!

Pete, I'll play whatever. The majority want 2K4, but I'll play t'other shiny versions with you.

Pants, the "Get a free game to give away" thing only works with some games, mostly Valve ones.

Think you mean Pete for both of those Grimmie.

Anyone who's installed this prepared to tell us about patching and suchlike? Does the Steam version need the x64 patch? My motivation to arse about with two different versions of a ten year old game for an hour's play is hanging by a thread, so any pointers are appreciated.

Installed off steam, added the map pack, runs fine as is, The X64 patch doesn't appear to change the version number, so won't cause any issues at that level.

x64 patch doesn't seem to do anything performance wise, it feels like I'm more accurate, but that's about it. not worth the fuckabout (seems to not like to edit settings in game, so you have to copy you ini over)

Cheers Berk. Funnily enough, horrible non-standard resolution I do feel motivated to tinker with. Anyone similarly offended by it can change to the resolution of their choice by running the game once and editing the config file:

D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Unreal Tournament 2004\System\UT2004.ini

FullscreenViewportX=
FullscreenViewportY=

Apparently changing FoV to 100 is appropriate for widescreen settings, but you can do that in game.

I'm having trouble doing anything on line here. It's telling me that connections are not yet allowed by Windows Firewall. Having a look for solutions now, first one (add "[FireWall] IgnoreSP2=1" in UT2004.ini) doesn't seem to be working...

Manual addition to the windaz firewall?
