SSD - Any good? (Bitches!)

If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

I didn't bother reinstalling when I got an SSD at Christmas, just installed the new drive and imaged my existing C drive to it overnight, then switched that to the boot disk in the morning, pretty painless. Of course my C: drive was smaller than the new SSD, which might not be the case for everyone.

That's what I did in the end. It was a piece of piss - stick SSD in, run Samsung migration software, wait half an hour for it to copy across, remove HDD. It booted straight from the SSD and apart from losing a few utility applications like Firefox and Teamspeak, which were installed on another partition on the physical drive (and which I'd copied onto my D drive anyway), it was exactly like I left it just 100 times faster.
