So now I am imagining a wizard casting spells out of a large brass instrument accompanied by the brass 'paaaaaaarp'. The spell is rainbow coloured.

I caved in and installed the beta, and have been playing as a monk for a bit. My multiplayer character is going to be a though choice between this and barbarian.

Incidentally, I just pre-ordered since the beta totally confirmed it for me.
I suggest that for our multiplayer game we make separate characters and make a thread to decide who should play what character so we don't all end up with the same class and 1 healer. I'm sure you were planning to do that anyway but I thought I'd point it out.

I was always going to, as Mrs Joose is a massive ARPG fan, and we played Diablo 2 together to completion (including the expansion packs). Due to that, Blizzard could pretty much pooped onto a DVD and called it D3. I still would have had to buy it, or suffer ladywrath.

That put aside, I would have been a little on the fence until the beta. Not because I thought it was going to be *bad*, but because I wasn't convinced it was going to be good enough to be worth my meagre gaming budget. The beta would have convinced me though.
