Right, so I'm about to order my eurostar tickets (I'm delaying it because I'm considering making it a longer London trip since it's right before the mayhem of the olympics and should be enjoyable) but since there's no ride waiting for me this time in London I'll have to train it to Brum.
What I need to know is;
-Where do I have to go and is someone willing to pick me up?
-Where should I look for trains when it comes to companies and such? I'm not hugely fussed about having to change a lot, I'm more worried about costs.
-Does someone else want to come with? Not necessarily from London but you can hop on along the way if the train stops by somewhere near you.

I can totally pick you up from what's called 'Birmingham International' - you could even fly in, because it's also an airport. It's actually much easier for me to grab you there than Coventry (where I live) or 'Birmingham New Street' (centre of Brum) even though the line from London (Euston iirc) connects to all of those, because of traffic.
Because we as a country suck, you will probably have to change and walk/taxi at St. Pancras (Eurostar terminal), even though St.P, Kings Cross (if you want to do a Harry Potter, or grab a prostitute) and Euston are all within a few yards of each other. Admittedly its 20 years since I've been there, so someone may have thought in the interim that connecting them with train tracks would be a good idea.

There are two major trains that operate from London to Birmingham I think.
There's Marylebone to Moor Street (cheap, but takes longer) and Euston to New Street (more expensive, but fast).
The New Street one goes through Birmingham International before it hits New Street, which is the on FJ's suggesting.
Technically you could to to Moor Street, walk 5 minutes to New Street station, then get a cheap (Like £2.10) train to Birmingham International.

I'm leaning more toward go than not go.
I shall look at holidays and see what's going on.

Roit, well there's a respectable number of 5punkers that want to bash in Brum, so let's call it official!
Any calls on what to do over the weekend? Last time we had a BBQ and went to a theme park.

BBQ will obviously depend on weather, but unless it's downright storming we shouldn't have any real problems with the grill. I enjoyed the theme park last time and I would definitely suggest something similar, since the best way to keep 5punkers in one place is by putting them in a fenced off area (as opposed to a city where we can roam free) I don't have any real suggestions as to what since I don't know anything in the area.
Also, since apparently I didn't reply to FJ's and Grimmie's replies;
FJ, I will gladly take you up on your offer of transport from brum int. to grimplace, I'll give you a text when I'm near. (we'll exchange phone numbers)
Grimmie (or anyone else in the know) is the best place to order my train tickets london midland? That's what I used last time.

Yeah, London Midland should do you, it's usually best booking with the train operator you'll be travelling with, but they should show the other providers prices too, so just go with whatever's cheap when you're booking - give me a prod when you're laying down the cash and I'll see if the tickets are any good.

Grimmie you big faaabulous man hating lesbian midget cockaholic!
Although to be honest my enthusiasm for watching England play like shit in the football waned after 1996. So I'd go for a no too.
Y'know we can just lay about talking shit and getting drunk for an extra day, that's always fun.
Some minor bearding?
Arguments over pizza, hilarious copying of plugs accent, talking about denim snakes, faaabulous jumps, robo wall, my hideous anal blasting, those weird eve types that turned up that time and talked about being ju-jitsu masters, when berk bit me, when berk got hideously drunk and sicked moonshine out his nose, pnuts attempts to break the tv, yellow growing spiky hair, orange penisiesiesies, mistaking hehulks sister for a fit looking girl, that time we walked for days in the pissing rain to buy a comic for grimmie.
Did I miss anything?
