Maybe cookie cutter was the wrong term. I mean derision that you've not brought the right companion, and that only one is considered the good one. Wait, is that a Jawa with a rocket launcher?

My willpower has finally crumbled. I've been yearning for some MMO action, and this has been getting good press all over, so I thought I would give it a whirl. So far, I've tried the first few levels of Magical Space Bastard (Sith inquisitor) and Imperial Agent. I cant put my finger on why, but I'm enjoying the Agent a lot more. It might be because the story is a bit more interesting than the inquisitors "ooh, I'm all evil and magical. look at how evil I am. Evil evil evil." Or it might be because I made a female agent, and she is hawt.

It definitely feels like a KoTOR rather than an MMO. Which is odd.

This game needs to go on a sale somewhere so that more people can play

Yeah. I'd buy it for £20. Unfortunately I think GW2 will be out before it goes to that price, and by then it'll be too late.

Well, this game seems to have died on its arse. It could easily be described as a single player game with a chat funtion.
Sadly it is through no real fault of the game itself, the storyline is good the gameplay is..well, it's an mmo ffs, it's not groundbreaking but it is a bit fresher. The only complaint I have is the lack of LFG tool. To get a group you need to hang about the central space station and spam chat.

*EDITS*

Seems that somebody realised this and I can now invite three of you for a 7 day trial, I think Joose might have another three invites available to him. It is worth the download to see it for yourself.

I have characters, in order of how much I'll be playing them:

Coreflood - Agent
DogPants - Smuggler
Soncho - Trooper

The mechanics of the game seem to be as per standard MMO with a few extra bits thrown in like having companions craft for you while you're out and about, and the BioWare patented dialogue wheels. The PvE game is, as has been said elsewhere in this thread, pretty good. It's like a solo BioWare game with the opportunity to jump in with friends. Treating it like that rather than an MMO I'm quite enjoying it.

EDIT: Also, do we have a guild?

And in a move which suprised nobody, EA announce TOR going free-to-play.
