I wanted something original. I failed at imagination. I'm MrJoose.

I beat the tutorial and feel a little better about it all. I found that not really paying that much attention to all the stats and items and just making sure I bought something, then getting back in and mixing it, was much more enjoyable.

I'm Dog Pants in game. As original as Joose.

I got her and a couple of other cheap champions. Their speech can be a little grating after a while though, especially the little girl, I turned that down. If I play enough I may pay real money to get a new skin for one of them. I don't mind supporting a game if I'm enjoying it.

I am called spoodie.

I got a real game in (well, PvE) using my newly purchased angel thing, and I'm pleased to admit I rather enjoyed it. I supported a caster along the bottom lane, who as it happened seemed to be pretty good, and followed his directions. We did pretty well too; I even got a DOMINATING. We won, I got a thx, I bought a rune I can't use. All good fun.

Now wait for the shit games where you fail horribly. I have those anyway.

I keep getting screwed on champion selection. I choose one, lock In. Then it all resets and someone else grabs the champion. Just now I selected, locked, then went to look at something else while waiting for it to load. Came back and a different champion I've never played was loading in. I thought "fuck this" and killed the game. Not good practice I know, but I don't want to have to put up with that. What's that all about?

I figure playing a support character will be unpopular, so I won't have much competition.

How odd. I've never seen that myself, so I don't know why its happening. I never go off after choosing though (well, I do, but on my iPad or something), so maybe that's it. Ruddy weird though, it doesn't sound like something that should be happening.

It's probably a lag thing, someone else locking in the same champion at roughly the same time and the game decides they get it and I don't. I should probably wait for the game to started loading before looking away. I got an email telling me off for quitting.

Yep, just had one of those. Complete clusterfuck. This time I was getting stunlocked and battered by enemy champions repeatedly, and the team started turning on each other. Calling your team noobs in a beginner's PvE match? Stating the obvious more than an insult I would have thought.

When called a "n00b" I like to employ the retort: I prefer the term "beginner".

Me, Pants and s2b had a quick 3v3 against the bots, and much fun was had. I have also learnt that the Mummy fella is a bit rubbish till the late game.
Despite us having a not great start, we won! Hooray for our side!

So basically, playing with randoms is... well, random, but playing with 5punkers is good fun?

A lot of you anticipate DotA2, but in reality, it will be a lot more skill-oriented than LoL. I don't imagine you'll enjoy it.

I'm not anticipating anything, I'm just playing a game.

If DOTA2 turns out to be too much like hard work, then never mind. It is Valve though, so I would think they would be able to balance it in order to appear to both the hardcore and the casual gamer alike. Its not impossible.

Don't worry. I don't imagine lots of things and they still happened - Jedward for example.

Also League of Legends wins Golden Joystick - Best Free-to-play. Which means Heroes of Newerth sucks, right?
