Thread resurrect :D
Still happy with the case I originally chose, not so fussy about the wireless adapter any more.
Happy to splash out on a mid-high range sound card and maybe even a subwoofer to put behind my monitor.
Will be sticking with my single 24" monitor for now, just to keep costs down.
Original list's here:

Can you guys check it over and tell me if there's something better for cheaper/similar?
As a retard and a technological void, I'm guessing the "thing to get" is the i7 instead of the i5 these days, is it affordable now?
Budget's still < £1,500

looks pretty good to me. the i5-2500k is still a great value and more than capable of handling anything out there now and in the near future.

On the budget in the wishlist link:
PSU: You can get a 750 or (nearly) an 850 modular for £150 now
Proc: You'd have to add £100 for an i7, not really worth it, a nice i5 seems the sweet spot
HDD: These cost 50-100% more than they should currently after the floods in Thailand. Stock is reduced, so not only are suppliers charging more, from experience I've found that you're more likely to get a dud they previously had returned and returning
that is a faff and a risk in itself. My advice is to use what you have and wait or even consider a 500G or 320G, unless you really need a 1TB - in which case look for a supplier that lists their stock accurately in the hundreds, rather than OC's '10+ in stock'
