Erm, Scarface is a shit movie *duck and covers*
the only thing that really bothers me about this film is how pretty much every rapper misinterprets this film, thinking it praises crime. there is actually this fat black rapper who claims his life is the same as the movie, so he calls himself scarface.

...some people... :faint:

It's a bit like Taxi Driver, a so called classic, and whilst I enjoyed the film, it only really got going in the last half hour.

It's good, but just because it's filmed in black and white, or it had a one liner that everyone knows doesn't make it a classic IMO

People just aren't as patient as they used to be, waiting through slow scenes for killer payoffs like great scenes or lines.

Partly I think, why should we be, why can't we demand instant gratification and almost constant action, but also I think the art of filmmaking is being undermined as with no contrast between fast and slow scenes it hard to create an impact or surprise the audience.

I don't really miss films that were generally very slow, with one "good bit" though - we've always had fast forward buttons (except in the cinema) - there were maybe about 15 minutes of Pearl Harbour that I found enjoyable.
