BEEF Server Renewal.

Yeah that is one of the main draws of Beef. At least there's some sense of progression and not totally wasting your life. Was there anything like this is previous beefs, before 2?

Worst time of year to be asking for monies.

I'm currently leaning towards 2142, but it is actually okay with randoms. New PC in a while, so might play them both a bit more, as loading times and lack of TS capability are what put me off jumping into games ATM.

But then, Quake Wars...mmm.

I actually find the whole unlock system annoying as fuck, personally. We wouldn't give a toss about playing on unranked servers we could run for free if it didn't exist.

Me too, unlocks just unbalance all the weapons since the they're usually more powerful than the standard weapons or you'd have no reason to unlock them, which means you rarely use the standard ones.

Its a much better idea to have all weapons always available so then they can balance them properly

There wasn't any unlocks before BEEF, but look how successful BFV was. I like the unlocks - they give me something to aim towards when I'm playing, otherwise it can be a bit overwhelming. Same with the badges. And in Futurebeef it's not that hard to get a few unlocks to even up on at least one class.

I'm not very fond of futurebeef, so I would like to have the Beef server up, but not enough to pay for it, I will wait and see what Quake Wars is like.
