I went for this tonight, so +1 towards tier three. I already have XCOM though, so someone might be getting a present. Bioshock 1 I have a spare of now ofc, too.

The Truth From Legend vids on Steam totally pushed my buttons - if they can put that amount of awesome into a trailer video then the game can't be entirely bad, right?

I even kind-of-liked Bioshock 2 when you did the thing with the thing that attracted the sploicers and had to defend...at least the first couple of times.

TV trailer.

I'm actually pretty excited about this now, the open air blue skies environment is a interesting difference fom the dark (but beautiful) corridors of bioshock and bioshock 2.

I like the "boing" noise she makes at the end.

Ha! That is some unfortunate syncing of sound and mouth movement.

The first thing I wrote about that was
HereComesPete wrote:She appears to have squirted her cacophony glands at the sight of a blimp.
And then I realised how divorced from normality that was and started laughing.

Apparently it's very good - you're now free to not regret your pre-purchases. I'll look forward to 5punkers' opinions while I get on and play the first two.

Pre-loading and my Pebble watch is on its way

Related: I recommend against doing a Google image search for "it was a good day", especially at work.

Well I had to  Also recommended: avoid using Google image search at all while sitting next to your mother trying to find something completely innocent to show her.

I got one of those a few months ago, then got an email saying it's been shipped. I'm sure you'll get the same soon, but you'll never be as awesome as me as I'll get mine first.

12 incredible hours later and I finished the game.

It's good. So good that even if I didn't get xcom for free, I still would have bought it for the ridiculous Belgian price that I got it for. The gameplay is not entirely unique and the combat isn't very difficult, but fresh and fun enough to not flip my keyboard over in disgust and uninstall the game, something which not even the fantastic design and storyline of the first two games could prevent me from doing*; but it's the story what kept me playing, as I really wanted to know how the story ends and what happened to all the characters which is something that usually only happens to me with games like mass effect. It takes a special effort to keep my attention in just about anything and Irrational games made that happen, so I take my hat off to you sirs and mesdames.

*I didn't actually flip over my keyboard, and is this good use of a semicolon?

No because you used "but" after it. Fail and fuck you!

Ive not finished it yet, but by god the art in this game is bloody good. It might not be the most technically stunning (although its perfectly acceptable) the design of the place is sodding lovely. Also, whoever is responsible for the music deserves some sort of award.
