I don't know that this was the one I watched but the Youtube user Veriax is a prolific Let's Player and he's done a full run through of various games.
Here's his Deus Ex: http://www.youtube.com/user/veriax#p/c/6C76A4456A26803A
Once you've figured out how the stealth works it's easy to get through the level as it's spacious and dark. I good tactic is sneaking up behind enemies, either walking or crouching, then stun prod to the back of the head. If you get it right they're down in one. For groups you can use a gas grenade to immobilise them, then use a tranquilliser dart or pistol to put them out.

I'm causing a ruckus in the clinic in Hell's Kitchen now, so I got past it in the end. I hadn't realised both the walky mechs were friendly, so I lured the dudes all towards them and let them do the killing. Taking the RPG to kill the mech by the front door helped, too. At the end I got told off for killing loads of people. And for going in the girl's toilets. Like that will stop me.
The main thing that's annoying about that level in my view - which doesn't happen in the later levels I've played - is that whatever way you go in, the passcode for the security console that controls the two turrets is on the desk inside, after you've already gotten past them somehow - I hadn't realised you could deactivate the cameras with the multitool, as it only covered opening doors with it in the tutorial.
I'm certainly getting into it now, finding lots of ways to do stuff, although it seems a little upside-down with the difficultly of puzzling out how to do stuff. The tutorial stealth was the hardest bit and getting Gunter out the second, everything since has seemed easier - I've got about five ways in to the next bit.
My chosen tactic is massive skinflint item hoarder. I'll only begrudgingly waste a single bullet on a bad guy, perferring to lure them to a sticky end by other means, saving all those lockpicks and multitools for when I really need them and certainly not giving any money to anyone.

There is another way in. You can climb some shipping containers on a different side and bypass the entrance with the turrets and cameras.FatherJack wrote:The main thing that's annoying about that level in my view - which doesn't happen in the later levels I've played - is that whatever way you go in, the passcode for the security console that controls the two turrets is on the desk inside, after you've already gotten past them somehow - I hadn't realised you could deactivate the cameras with the multitool, as it only covered opening doors with it in the tutorial.

There's another turret at the top of the stairs, which did me in when I tried that way. In any case there's plenty of ways to do things, once you've worked out what you can do and the game mechanics.spoodie wrote: There is another way in. Some things are weird, like if you're hidden in the dark and shoot a guy, he runs straight towards you, but if you pop out from round a corner, shoot him and pop back, he's completely flummoxed.
