I don't really have any problems with them either, and my hands are not exactly small. Something that I do find annoying is that after a while my ring finger and little finger really start to hurt, but that might be because I have the habit of clutching the handles with said fingers rather than just my little finger.

I never said large hands, but as describing hands would be weird and take ages.

Oh, and I find PS controllers make my fingers ache, are hard to grip, and the thumbsticks are just not in the right place.

Planes do have rudders, which make them go left and right without pitching, but a friend who took flying lessons tells me they aren't used much, which is perhaps why we don't often see them simulated in games. For one thing, they're pretty difficult to operate - it's done with the feet, which isn't the most natural way to steer and the pedals require quite a lot of effort to press. In addition, the turning circle is much poorer than using the the joystick thingy and flight instructors generally want you to learn how to do things "properly" so you are able to control all aspects of the plane.
I do struggle with "real" flight controls in games and find it's usually safer to jump out of any helicopter I'm flying and run away before the twisted wreckage explodes or Vic Morrow's them, or not to enter in the first place.
Unless I have a tiny keyboard, my hands are pretty much the same size as berk's, and I find the PS3 controllers okay, but would probably list the new smaller Xbox controllers as my favourite if the analague sticks were both where the PS3 ones are, instead of lopsided. I could never reach the Black and White buttons on the big XBox, but that's more about thumb flexibility than hand size.

That's my main gripe with the xbox controller really, I'm starting to like it now that I'm used to it, but for some reason I find the lettered buttons much harder to use than the symbol ones the playstation uses. I also find it pretty ugly, but that's no real reason to dislike it.FatherJack wrote:if the analague sticks were both where the PS3 ones are, instead of lopsided.
