Maybe we could decide on a start time so we can all play together? I'd prefer to start after the holidays so some day in January is my vote...

One or two people already in it seems judging by the apps. I've dropped 1/2bill in the corp wallet, some for office rents and other bills, and couple hundred in a 'general' use wallet for anyone to get themselves set up with ships n stuff if they need.

I'm actually finding myself struggling to find the motivation to log on. I expect any ships I had at the POS are long gone, and I predict whatever I'm flying at the moment won't survive the journey home.

From Memory, the last time i saw you log out, you had just gone to a safespot in W9-DID in a cyclone (Battle Cruiser). Our POS hasn't been there for a long time, and i'm not sure how friendly the locals are (i suspect its not very, though)

Quite. If I was in my Stabber I might get back, but it'd mean my Cyclone is long gone. If I was in my Cyclone I'd likely die on the way home, and my Stabber has probably been taken/sold/scrapped too.

Actually from what I know of the area, Providence locals are neutral friendly, and there's now a station right next door to W9-DID in KW- which you just might be able to dock in. Otoh, meh...blowing up is kinda fun and it's not like you're losing anything you actually care about is it? :P

I might try and make a dash tomorrow morning then.

I might activate Christmas eve. I have revision to do but I doubt I'll be doing any round Christmas so I might aswell see if I can squeeze some Eve in then. No chance of me having time to play any other time until I've finished uni.

From what I remember W9 area is now AAA/UK controlled or at least pretty contested recently. Just get blown up and get Friz to buy you stuff :P

Yeeeah so I'm still bumming around doing missions in my Kestrel. Mighty space adventures my ass. Unless you can find a good corp this game offers nothing imo.

I think today's the last day of my trial and I've not logged on. I was never planning on resubbing, or even playing for long, so I don't consider it a great loss.

Aye, if you want Generic MMO in space it really doesn't offer much, and to be fair the vast majority of people do want that which is why Eve is pretty niche. The devs have made a token effort to extend the PvE 'experience' but it still comes down to bumming around in space doing missions in your ship (much the same as any Generic Questing MMO come to think of it, just more black and starry).

Otoh when you do find a good corp the sandbox bit that makes it so intimidating to begin with means it really does become a mighty space adventure, just takes a considerable effort to get there, which is a turn off for some but something I personally love about it.

A useless but very expensive paperweight: 22bill for an officer fitted Nyx mothership that can't dock, doesn't do enough dps and can get one shotted by a titan, so it's utterly pointless taking it into battle.

It's pretty though, so I bought it 8)
