Hmmm... that four pack is quite tempting, if we could rally 4 people we'd all be off rather cheap.
Any volunteers?

Would work out cheaper over in uk prices, £80.67, £20.24for 3 people and £20.23 for 1 person.

If I can sell some more bits on ebay I'm up for it, and Shot2Bits proberly wants in.

Johnson, you want in?

Anyone else?

Instead of being useless like buzz, I'll answer. :P

You are quite correct. You sign up, sign in and buy gaem. It then lets you download/pre-load/stare longingly at the release date dependent upon game. If you delete it off your hdd it stays on your steam profile for re-download. They auto-update and such if you ask them too as well.

Now has friends lists and achievements and groops and such, all consoley like. But generally unobtrusive and easy to use.

Everything has a shortcut so you can launch steam then launch everything from there, useful if you like minimal icons.

It offers a wide variety of publishers were once it was just valve and a couple of indie types floating round the edge. They have deals (THQ games this week) offer multibuy savings etc and it's got its own anti-cheat stuff that's actually quite capable.

:unimpressed:  Have you not used Steam before? I would have thought the vast majority of PC gamers would have Steam installed...

As Pete said, you run the Steam app, it downloads your games and keeps them up to date (generally) for you. You can download on to any computer Steam is installed on, just log in to your account. Steam has friends lists and groups so you can chat/join games of/rape people you know.

It has a XBOX HUEG LOL catalog of games, I have 99 games and that's really not a whole lot, far less than a quarter of the catalog I suspect.

It's the bees' knees.

You do maths very bad... if you had 225 1/4 games on steam that would be closer to a quarter of the catalogue totalling 901games that steam have ;)

Steam is very dangerous, it's way to easy to buy games, which is why I have 10% of the catalog. It's funny how I still have times where I have nothing to play.
