Also John Hughes films have fantastic 80's soundtracks, Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller etc

i like a lot of film music, but if there's one that really stays in my head, it must be the music that ennio morricone made for sergio leone's westerns.
once upon a time in the west is the only film ever that brought a tear to my eyes*.
(since my childhood that is, the ending of terminator 2 made me cry alot when i was a toddler)

The man is certainly a musical genius. Also, I forgot the soundtrack to the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - that was outstanding, especially the Mike Teevee bit with the Oompah Loompahs looking like The Darkness.
