If you ignore consoles you're missing out on a lot of great games, but there's plenty of great games available on the PC so it's no big deal.Killavodka wrote:console gaming died when i discovered torrents and when i purchased my first graphics card *ATI 9800 pro*

For almost any console there are up to 10 must-play games you won't have been able to play on PC, so you're just missing out on some great games. Not all of them to everyone's tastes, but a few universal greats in there.
I've been playing PS2 releases for most of the last two weeks, but it is hard to find time to keep up with stuff for multple systems.

I heard from Game yesterday, they have guaranteed me a Wii from their launch deliveries so I'm happy. As it stands I'm getting it on Friday 8th December With the Wii Sports package and play.com should be sending me a copy of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess to be delivered on launch day. I'm very VERY excited about a new (and apparently epic by all accounts) Zelda game.

hmm
I find play's email a little strange considering this seems to be the general picture regarding Wii production.Hehulk wrote:A shortage? Oh crumbs...
They're claiming 4 Million worldwide between launch and the end of the year. Also all sources (google news) report they're well ahead of schedule... Either way we'll be 'reet I think.
1 month to go!
I read the Zelda first impression article in Edge and now I'm really looking forward to it. Although if you have a look at the FPSs the graphics look like very basic compared to the other nextgen consoles but that not really what the Wii is about.
Also I've got used to the stupid name: Wii

Word on the street is that Wii shortages are appearing.
Mainly on play.com is it an issue, but I'd guess that if you pre-ordered already, you'll be ok, if you're planning to pre-order.. you're likely to get it shortly after the new year.
