Grimmie has shed his facepaints, and will apply some new ones when he has a little spare time.
After settling down he looks at the BPN a little closer, a small smile coming to his face when he realises the investigation may not be all talky-talky after all.
Grimmie wrote:Looks like this one pays well.
If Dirk doesn't want the weight of being leader, head of communications, and the squad's designated healer on his shoulders, then I don't mind taking up the mantle myself.
He turns to look at Dirk, curiously.
Edit:
deject: actually , it might be a good idea to have a human as the figurehead anyways
[5punk] Grimmie: Hahaha
[5punk] Grimmie: A horny ebon from the 50's, a speedy lizard who wears a fridge, or some socially retarded human who wears facepaints.
deject: sounds about right

I don't mind being squad leader - extra ammunition for wooing the ladies of Mort!

Well, I'm not to bothered about it either way, so I guess Dirk it is.

Well we've had a chat, and Dirk has decided to take up the position of Squad Leader. Thanks for the heads up on the scrutiny from up top. We'll try to be more careful this time. I guess unless you have anything else for us, we'll get right on this. Thanks.

Will do.
deej gestures to the rest to follow and walks out of the office.
I suppose we should get the new guys first before starting the BPN, adding them after we've started the BPN seems a bit odd. Let's go to the BPN hall.

Okay, well moving swiftly onwards..
At the Crib, Grimmie disappears into the building's restroom, and re-emerges minutes later.

I think they called him.. "Mr. Smiles"
Anyway, new squadmates.
I reckon we've got a few gaps to fill. We're very obviously missing some close combat members since Gerald got re-assigned, and those drugged up meatbags turned out to be.. Uh, unstable.
Deej, you're a great scout, but it might pay off for you to have some backup when you take points, in case there's someone waiting for you around the next corner, and we take too long to arrive. It'd be good if we could find someone who fills close combat and recon roles at once.
It's also painfully obvious to me that we're low on Ebb users, maybe we can pick another up instead of adding another gunhead to our fold?
We could split up and look for one new member each, either of you got any pointers on what to look out for?
Grim gives a little smile, which looks quite awkward in his facepaints.

Wow, that's surprisingly astute Grimmie. My old squad used to just grab the first person they met.

I'll look for a scout/melee op then.
I guess I will look for someone physically imposing, but that also looks nimble.

Well, there's a wealth of humans and a scattering of other races. Deject spots a potential Wraith Raider recruit, but it turns out he already has a squad. Thinking of Gerald, though, you spot a Stormer towering above the crowd. He's queueing, but not patiently. He seems twitchy, is smoking a lot, and looks just about to clobber the excitable human in front of him.
Dirk, on the other hand, finds Herman. He's talking to a Shaktar.

I'll walk over towards the Stormer and human, see what the hub-bub is about. If it looks like the guy is about to get clobbered, I'll speak up but until that happens I'll just listen in.

The human guy isn't doing anything wrong particularly other than being loud and extrovert as he talks to his buddy. The Stormer looks very edgy though, nervy and uncomfortable, and the way he winces at the human's laughing and louder comments makes it look like he won't be keeping his cool much longer.

deej walks over to the human and interjects.
I am sorry for interrupting but I think it's only prudent to warn you, there is a 313 behind you and I think he's taking exception to your conversation. I don't know what you've heard about them but they can hit pretty hard. Anyways, carry on I'm sure you've been waiting in line for a while.

Oh dear, I'm not interrupting anything am I? For a second I thought you might have been trying to get our honourable Shaktar friend here to do some menial task for you. Say it isn't so!
Tell you what, as thanks for getting our squad started with their very first BPNs, I'd be willing to offer this fine gentleman a position in our squad - after all I know you're only looking to help people find their feet here.
