I'm having a little trouble locating an mirror for the prem client. Anyone know a good mirror because the official site is giving me horribly slow speeds.

Most people get pretty decent speeds from the main site, so I don't know of any mirrors.

Tried a download manager?

Hmm could do, or I'll try the torrent method instead.

I just gave it a go.

Code: Select all

wget http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/EVE_Premium_Setup_75883.exe

5.54M/s eta 3m 31s
Looks like the problem is with you and/or your ISP.

Two crap things just happened. First of all I was 98% downloaded on the client and then Firefox crashed and the download restarted. Secondly, I went to upgrade my trial account to a full one via Paypal and although I got a confirmation email from Paypal to say the payment went through, I got an error message when it redirected back to CCP and it doesn't think it completed.
I have submitted a petition but god knows how long it will take.

Right I'm getting pissed off now. Twice I have had to reset my eve password because I seem to have forgotten the existing one... Is this an issue with their authentication server or am I being "hacked" I don't seem to have lost any money or equipment so I doubt that.

ha no, strangely enough when I try and reset my password it now tells me my username or e-mail is invalid leading me to believe someone has nicked it. If one of you lot in 5punk channel could tell me if I've been online today or at any point that would be great.

I'm pretty sure accounts don't just get nicked randomly. Did you run any external programs claiming to be related to EVE?

It may already be frozen, but if it's not, reclaim it and you have 600m ISK, it's not that bad :D

600m ISK though.. Someone is either rather stupid (since you can reclaim the account using payment information), or you got nicked by a chinese ISK farmer.

EVEMon cannot be the problem, I have that as well, I suggest you do a full in-depth scan of your computer. They cannot log into your account neither with the limited, nor with the full access API key.

Use nod32 or sophos ideally (they have trials), certainly avoid AVG for something like this.

Oh, and if you use the same email/password elsewhere, that could be the problem.

I am using AVG but I'll get NOD now. I'm also only using windows xp default firewall. I have submitted a petition to CCP and included a passport photo and photo of card used to activate account.
Only other thing I use same password for is windows log on.

You can also reset your API, if you're worried about it, although as mentioned there's no way anyone can use that to access your account.

It's in the hands of a senior GM at the moment + account is frozen. Shame it did happen as I was getting into the game and this has some what ruined my experience but when/if I get control of my account back I'll carry on as per normal.
