Oh God, how I loved Red Dwarf until it got a bit shit around series 6/7.

For me, 6 was OK. 7 was where it took a serious dive of a very big cliff.
I think I asked myself at that point of what Doug Naylor was doing to the show.
"Oh Smeg. What the smegging smeg's he smegging done?"

I vaguely recall an American company pumped some cash into the show around the time it went shite.

I thought a lot of merkinness was involved from s2 onwards, due to it being popular over there, but I'm not sure
