And besides, I think there's only about 2 true 'tank and spank' bosses in WotLK. Almost all of them require some element of movement and/or coordination between the party members such as avoiding silences or adds, interrupting spell casts, moving out of whirlwind etc etc. It's one of those 'very easy when you know how' things, but half the fun is working it all out.

Nearly all normal instances are doable with off-spec players if they have a small amount of on spec gear (e.g. Ele Shaman with some resto pieces to heal, DK with a few bits of tank gear etc). It wouldn't hurt for people at lvl 80 already to start thinking about specialising as tank or healer, that way you can start collecting together the loot bits you need.

I was thinking about this after the dungeon run. Like Berk says, were all pretty jack-of-all-trades with our guys at the moment, especially the DK's. I would like, when I get my DK to 80, to specialise in something. At the moment he is mostly Unholy, which near as I can tell is awesome for general PvEing, but not exactly optimal for either DPS or Tanking. From poking at things, I reckon DK's could be made awesome DPS with reasonable armour, or awesome tanks with reasonable DPS.

Anyone else thinking of going down one of these routes with their DK? Because if they are, I'll happily go the other way.

I'm thinking that. I did start hoarding nice healer spec quest rewards but I had to sacrifice them to the god of bank space. I was working under the assumption that without respeccing to restoration I wouldn't be effective, so there was no point me hanging onto it. I might respec once we've got more people at 80 and I'm made obsolete, but not for a bit. However, I'll make room for some healy gear so I can off-spec at least, since healers are always a rarity.

I'm planning on respeccing to DW DPS, but while everyone gets themselves levelled and sorted, I'll probably stay ghetto tank.

Things we should learn soon: saturdays are not for instances, sundays are.

What do we fancy tomorrow then? Zul'Gurub? Run a few sub-80s through Nexus or Ulthar Keep?

Insect basement went fairly well today, despite a slightly complicated boss who required us to think a little. It's starting to become a regular sunday afternoon thing, which pleases me. Too many bloody Deaf Knights though :mrh?:

Also available for when we've a few 80s; Bronze Dragonflight dungeons - travel back in time to important parts of the Warcraft story, such as the slaughter of Stratholme and Thrall's escape from the Alliance.

Battle of Mount Hyjall is available as well isn't it?

Possibly. I've only encountered a couple and I'm still only on the Scourge campaign in WC3 :)

People up for a dungeon run tomorrow then? I'm off for a party shortly, but should be back for the afternoon/evening.

I vote we decide on specifics in game at the time. Always seems to work better than actually planning things.

Absolutely. Also, I retain my opinion that we should focus on the lower level guys until they hit 80 to help everyone catch up. Think we're still only on 4 80s at the moment (Berk, Mikkyo, Wiggy, Myself).

Alas, I'll probably be busy tonight (Valentine) and tomorrow afternoon (parents).

As I am one of those lower level guys, I agree wholeheartedly :)
