it is. tough as hell, pretty cheap and very deep, only took 3 slices of worktop for the whole thing.

It was only really practical if you knew someone with a van who could pick it up for you. I think it was about £100 for 3m, and I have 1.6m, 1m and 0.4m cuts left over, they'll be going in the incinerator if nobody wants them and if my Dad hasn't promised them to anyone.
They're usual worktop width, slightly thicker than normal and filled with a rather dense woodpulp stuff similar to MDF which seems more solid and easier to machine than the old chipboard-style filling.

Best of luck to all you moving fuckers! I'm toying with the idea of moving out of home for my second year in Uni. Just need to find some cool people who live in Liverpool from my course or some who want to share a house there with a slightly Zombie/Pirate/Zombirate obsessed 23 year old.
I'll buy you all a Breville to share as a house warming gift...
