remember to buy www.iflm.co.uk as well if you can, as well as a number of similar ones like www.i-f-l-m.co.uk, especially if you expect it to take off (or want it to).

Always nice to have redirects set up and short urls to ease remembering it.

Other url examples-
www.iflmusic.co.uk
www.ifl-music.co.uk
www.lovemusic.co.uk (seems free)

Sol when you need hosting give me a slap. We've just purchased bits to provide unix/php hosting to customers. I should be able to offer you something reasonable.

So many offers!

In talks with my friend who's a guru for web-design who shall hopefully be lending a hand.

Basically the sketchy idea is to have it as a site for mainly reviewing underground and independent music, all categorized nicely. With a small biog for the bands that album's are reviewed and a core review from "official" reviewers for each album, with a ranking etc. Then user-submitted reviews can be linked to the official review with a user-score. Maybe have gig history and upcoming gigs for the bands as well.

I'm up for writing articles and I know a couple of people who want to go into journalism so this is an ideal platform for their work to be displayed. And, hopefully, should be happy to write for free. Getting music to review is actually a lot easier than you think, as bands and record labels are often more than happy to give it away for free for an honest review.

And if any 5punkers are interested in becoming an official reviewer if this thing is any of your cup of tea and are damned good™ at reviewing music creatively, holler at me.

But as I say this is all pretty rough at the moment...

I can review stuff plz! Although it may be closer to 'this is shit' 'this is great' 'what the fuck is with the drums in this one' than a highly detailed review of the music as an exponent of it's particular genre.

For a site such as the one you are planning - what the search engines make of it is going to make or break you.

Make sure it is all xhtml compliant stuff, avoid tables in the structure of the site and things like that. Make correct use of h1, h2, h3, p, img alts and all the rest of it.
