Okay picture this, the favourite alcohol thread, with numerous images, all being quoted and then quoted again.

The thread becomes huge in length, and horrible to read.

The reason we removed signatures from 5punk was that it was soon becoming a "scroll fest", and the excesive quoting was making this happen again.

well, make it kill images in the quotes, and make it so you can quote 2 deep, and all is well

i must say this mod is starting to piss me off.


it'd help if it didn't put 2 extra lines after the [..], which pretty much negates any benefits removing the quotes has.

It's because it's not clever enough to work out how many quotes you have done, and the SQL server adds extra lines upon quoting messages when using this mod.

IMO, it makes the poster think about what they are posting, and if there are extra lines, then it takes seconds to wipe them out.

I will however have a look at the mod, and see if there is anything clever I can do with it, but it's here to stay, in whatever format I can best get to work, as it's made a huge difference already when viewing new posts.

Still need to work on removing the line breaks, but it's better than it was

I don't know about you, but this mod has made 5punk's threads so much better to read, and I find myself scrolling an awful lot less than I used to.

Are there any other little things that annoy you when viewing 5punk?

P.S. Stoat fixed the page number thingamy so it's not blue links on the blue background anymore.
