The one near Leicester? That's about 5 minutes from here, and it is the size of a small town.

Yep, really quick to get to for me, down the ever-empty M69. Once the Christmas rush has died down I'll pop out there again sometime, it been a while and we do have two big Asdas near me, I did always like its hugeness.

TWSS.
I think it's a bit deceptive really, there's always been a fair chunk of it for clothes and stuff.
also not the biggest I've been in, there's an asda (I think) in leeds that's about the same size as the one near here, but has a downstairs bit too.
Unfortunately I went in there under the influence of a cocktail of very interesting drugs and ended up lost in the jeans section.

Might have to check that out, Leeds is one the best places I've visited.

I'm honestly not sure where it is, might have been leeds, and might have been asda. It was a
really good week

I quite like the shopping centres of Leeds, unlike the metro centre which is a never-ending facade of the same damn shops over and over again. But I detest the centre for it's convoluted traffic system and spaced out shops.
Edinburgh is similar for me, try shopping there and get pissed off, swanning around looking at stuff and getting the beers in and it's a bloody great place.
I like shopping in the centre of Leicester over going to fosse park, the traffic system is mental, Irish stocks so much great crap I can wander round it for hours. Biggest drawback of the centre is it's fucking rammed with chavs, and it's the only place I've ever had a massive stand up barney in a MacDonalds.
Manchester has good city centre shopping, shame it's full of scum.

Agreed on all of the above, especially irish, mainly because they randomly give me discounts when I buy stuff

Dr. kitteny berk wrote:Also, anyone know of a really good coffee/spice grinder? I'm after something with blades fairly low to the bottom for maximum kicking the crap out of small spicy type things.
I bought one of
these a while back, it's never had coffee in it and it's great for low quanities of spices - stuff I just can't pulverise and powder with just a pestle and mortar. It'd rust like a bastard if anything wet went in it though.

Just discovered one of my boards has been left in a dishwasher, unwashed, since friday. Was last used for raw beefs.
I'm thinking retire it*, thoughts?
*and make the useless cupcake buy me a new one.

Plastic board isn't it?
Can't you just wash it and disinfect it with a bleach soak and rinse clean again?

I'm not super keen on bleaching stuff for various reasons.
Usually I just dishwasher/boiling water stuff a few times to sterilise it, but I don't leave my chopping boards in warm, moist places for 5 days either.

Find a nearby domestic pet to lick the board clean, or do it yourself.

Wipe it with a lint-free rag.
Should be fine dishwashed if it's plastic and not too deeply scored.
