For the price they've got a better refresh rate. Also, my desk would look stupid with a flatscreen on it.

You can punch a CRT without knacking it.
Most of the arguments for CRTs for gaming have receeded now that LCDs are bright and sharp and don't blur fast movement like they used to.
CRTs are generally more rugged, and you'll get a better example for the same money and size. Around the £200 mark I've seen a lot of variation in 17" LCD colour definition - where either very light or very dark colours can be indistinguishable from black or white accordingly - but an Iiyama LCD I have at work around this price is better than any CRT I've used.
I use a CRT with built-in speakers at home as that's what fits, and there's a nearly inexhaustable supply of brand-new identical replacements in the storeroom at work, which were mistakely ordered for people who had/bought LCDs.

Just FYI, LCD's don't care one bit about refresh rates at all. They do have different pixel response times, but that is something completely different.
