OOI, aside from creating the creature is there anythign else you can actually directly control or not? Otherwise it ould seem like an expensive Tamagotchi.

The cell game, flora, town buildings and spaceships all seem to have a similar editor to the creature creator from vids I've seen from GDC 2005 and E3 2006, but I'm not watching anything more recent so as not to spoil the surprise.

The game modes seem to switch as you progress, from a very hands-on section guiding your initial creature to sentience, through an RTS-like world conquest phase to Sins of a Solar Empire-like galactic domination, but all done with your hand-built puppets against ones made by your mates/randoms.

Recent interview states that there are 18 different editors.
The ones I know; Cell, Creature, Flora, Building, Vehicle, Spaceship and Music

I don't know if the three subdivisions (Military, Commerce, Religious) of vehicles count as different editors though.

I'm guessing the UFO based planet editor might be counted? No idea.
