Yeah, thats the same as my trip to my parent's house. Its not that bad tho - the A1/M1 route is easy.

Edit: Although this may just be cos I really quite enjoy driving. If its not something you enjoy, I can see where the pain would come from!

Enjoying driving is relative to a) how novel it is (I've done a lot of miles) and b) how nice your car is (mine's shite).

This is true. I passed a bit over a year ago and normally drive a 2 or 3 year old Fiesta which is fairly nice, so I meet both those criteria!

As mentioned in other post, I'm coming but for one day.
Which day is the bank holiday?

If anyone is passing through Oxford, I'd appreciate a lift. Otherwise, I won't be coming.

I will definitely be attending on the Saturday/Sunday Morning only.

I'd offer lifts on my way, but I wouldn't be able top bring anyone back which is a bit silly.

I'm working on some prizes/awards for the event

Hmm, I was going to offer you a lift if I went, but that would be equally silly. Oh well.

Bad news guys - I'm going to have to drop out.

That weekend is the only time my girlfriend can get off work to go on holiday so I'm afraid that kind of takes precedence. Sorry, I wish I could come! Maybe next time though.

Not for the LAN, but the holiday I'm going on instead...

I see your 603 miles, and raise you 54:

Parent's house to Newc (294)

plus

Newc to Isle of Skye (363)

equals 657 miles each way.

Sorry guys, I cannot make this one now.

Me & Mrs Woo are going to the HiFi festival (formerly Homelands), and the dates clash.

Can you take me off the list, and Prof, can you PM me your address so I can send some goodies to you in the post to give out at the LAN.
