ok, new GFX card needed. It's not got to be a rocket ship, but my old Athalon 1.7 machine is struggling with guildwars, I suspect the gfx card is crap.
So, It's "recommended" to use
ATI Radeon 9000 or GeForce 4 Ti Series Video Card with 64MB of VRAM
I suspect these are old specs, but my budget is limited, so here's the questions
1) what's worth getting? I can only blow 30-40squids on this upgrage 'cos I'm poor
2) any of you spec-obsessed fold got any old-but-ok GFX cards you are willing to sell/give me?

i'd kinda fear the SE, but if it's better than what you have.

what I have is utter shite, so it's gotta be better.
What's wrong with the SE? is it so very bad?

Quite possibly, i'd usually suggest no lower than a 9600pro, given the cards are getting on a good bit, and the pros provide good performance for the money.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see how it turns out then.
and at £18 it's not a bad price

would be a *hugely* better way to spend your money.

think at least double the performance.

makes sense, they're still one of the best budget cards. :)

To be honest I was reluctant to spend over £20 on a box that only cost me £30 in the first place.
But we'll see how well it runs tomorrow
