Just for clarification on my point (notice I did say akin): They both have the same end result, albiet they are different means of getting there.

It's physically impossible due the layout of the building and locations of the alarms.

Don't you have CCTV, Buzz? I'd imagine the local Fire Service are getting fairly fucked off by now.

CCTV is in all of 3 places, the entrance hall (with one alarm switch), and in the lifts.

The fire service don't come at all (firing blanks, fnar fnar), they have to be called by security. Which is logical as we've got 24 hour security and they come running in a pack of 3/4 of them, not to mention the building is a modern design with EVERY door being a fire door.

The retards will learn pretty quickly, people aren't gonna care about boot polish if the place is on fire.

i wouldn't really want to live in a world where everybody is smarter then i am. It would eventually turn out a bit like Gattaca, no?

Personally my pet hates are:

- People who think the laws are there for other people only. See: Cyclists running red lights and/or ride on the footpath.
Drivers who don't respect the give way/stop signs/ roundabout rules.
(This i'm sure will cause some abuse for me) Drivers who complain about being caught by speed cameras. Frankly if you're angry about being charged money and getting points on your licence there is a simple way to prevent this happening in future, DON'T BREAK THE FUCKING LAW. This especially applies to people who drive for a living and then try and get leniency for their crime because of it.

- Prejudice and ignorance are big hates of mine as well, disregarding or even hating someone just because of their beliefs or the country they were born in or even the colour of their skin really gets my fucking goat, people are people. end of discussion. If their views are different from yours why does it matter? Does their skin make them evil or stupid? Does their belief in a different Deity make them an abomination? Hell, I don't believe in any of them, why don't they pick on me?

- Chavs. I don't think I can add anything to them that hasn't been said already

- Cases thrown out of court on a technicality.

- Adherence to the letter of the law over and above the spirit of the law. Judges and professional services (including emergency services and the military) should be allowed to use their common sense without fear of being publicly crucified.

- Blame culture.

- Clerics dabbling in secular matters. Belief in a deity based on insufficent evidence is not a professional qualification.

- Misguided animal rights activists who have no fucking clue about animals.

- Opinionated idiots who've done none of their own research but insist regurgitating tabloid half-truths in a state of self-righteous indignation.

I'll add every fucking "Reality"/"Talent" show that's on TV, I'm sure there's about 500 shows that are all exactly the same, or near as.

I read in the paper today that Amy Winehouse's husband has stated that if he goes into prison Winehouse will die of drug abuse as she'll have no one to tell her to take just under the lethal dose. Oh good.

And not only leaders, but also the mass media. Which is why it can be argued that the media get the majority vote by proxy in elections or referendums. But we're moving on to serious issues here and not trivial whining.

We don't necessarily need to wipe out all the scumbag chavs or even limit their breeding, a government which wouldn't provide so much aid to people completely undeserving of it would be enough to quell my rage. There's no reason an uneducated scumbag who doesn't have a job - and refuses to get one - should get as much help from the government as they do now.
