ooh, i just thought of something. i usually don't drink alot of soft drinks, so i'd like to know if the tap water is drinkable? is it otherwise possible to get a bottle or two of fizzy water? maybe for sobering up as well?

UK tap water is the cleanest (or one of) in Europe iirc, and one of the cleanest in the world at any rate, you'll be fine.

Where does Brum get its water from? Is it manky, furry hard water or delicious, crisp soft water?

I have to say, I love tap water here.

Coventry though.. my god... hardwater area is an understatement. More like hardfail.
