Er, I think you'll find you drew with me at -180. And you even killed a member of the opposing team, which I didn't.

Well it's our server isn't it. If we want to TK each other then it's our concern.

It wasn't. No one was really bothered though.

Im very much with DP on this: pissing someone off as a way of getting a twat to go away is one thing, pissing someone off purely because its funny is another thing: which I dont like.
The stuff we do in CoH, such as the recent Sparticuses, isnt the same at all. We are doing it for giggles, not because it annoys people. The fact that some people get annoyed by it is by the by.
Basically:
Pissing someone off for the lulz: bad
Pissing someone off because they have been pissing people off: Fine
Unintentionally pissing someone off becuase they take offence to something they can quite easily ignore: also fine.

I've seen some people get pissed off over 5punk antics on CoH. A small number didn't like the fabulous costume antics from a while ago, but that was probably homophobia so I suppose that doesn't really count.

Usually. One guy was like "are you guys homos?" to which I responded that he would have to search elsewhere for satisfaction for his homosexual urges. He actually saw the funny side, which was unexpected. CoH's like that: after all, everyone's in tights.
Sausage Ryder's had more invites than any of my other chars, plus many "lol what a name" / "nice costume" comments. Even the NPCs seem to be joining in: "With garishly costumed heros like Sausage Ryder around, the streets are safe once again."

I had one called Recepticle, but she didn't get used much (fnar fnar) but my favourite name is my new Tanker, called Manly Swallows.

I really wonder what sort of reaction people resonably expect to a question like that, unless they're 10 years old trying to sound older, which makes it even dodgier, now I think about it...
"why yes, we are. Are you guys, like,
bigotted?"

It's not unknown for me to react by saying "Yes actually, I am faaabulous. Why?", and then proceed to either question their bigoted stance against homosexuality, or hit on them, depending on my mood and their initial comment.

When we did the faaabulous pride march on Guardian I was surprised by the amount of faaabulous characters/players who came out (so to speak) of the woodwork. I had a lengthy conversation with one chap (after explaining that we weren't faaabulous, we were just messing about) about how players reacted to him.

I find it quite satisfying to grief people who are being twats or shouting about how you should play the game and what you should and shouldn't do (which I suppose is a form of taking it too seriously). If people are being tits I'll be a tit back, if they're trying to tell me how I should play a game I bought, I find that the way I want to play transforms into exactly how they don't want me to.
