Was it only 25? It felt like more. The bad guys take quite a bit of damage each, but I dook down at least a dozen, half of which was during the last ditch defende of the med tent (where I'd respawned after dying). I think the feeling of hordes of them is enhanced by the constant flow of dropships dumping reinforcements.

Well I think at once there are about 5 drop ships with between 3 and 6 each, but if you don't kill them all before the next wave there will be obviously more.

Still quite enjoying this. Level 9 now and cutting my way through squads of aliens with machinegun fire is rather fun.

Some odd glitches I mentioned:

Weird extendy textures. Not uncommon, and this one moved with his head.

I've respawned like this a few times. Must be res sickness or something.

Also, I found Bono.

That one looks to be more graphics card related. Updating drivers might fix it, or perhaps its just a sign of your GFX aging. Saw Pete's old card do similar things in bf2142.

And that one with you on a slant. That only seems to happen after you die. Just a random bug that lasts til you move.

EDIT: New patch is on the test server and will be released within a week

Think I might give this a go now, can some one send me the trial please? I'll pm you my email address.

Since the trial is only 3 days can you also get me the download link so I can download it before I start the trial?

Thanks, I actually just went and found it on gamers hell which downloads faster. I thought they'd hid the download somewhere until you activate the trial/pay them moneys.

Actually, change of plan, I think I'm going to hold off on this for a while at least. It's a bit expensive when compared to eve, and being a student wanting a new PC I need to save my moneys. Thanks though.

Anyone got a link for the client outsidethe official downloader? Downloading a 3gb file at 32k/s does not apeal

and then 5 minutes later I found the gamers hell link, which is still only 80k/s, but it's better at least

I rather do like this game, sure it's buggy, but everyone should try it a couple of times.

Thanks, I'll be careful with it in that case. Probably save it for the weekend as it's only a 3-dayer.

The three day thing is daft, as you only start getting a feel for the game once you get to the tnstances and second area. I think more people will be put off by the trial.
