Something like a tenner a month roughly (I can't quite remember, it just comes out of my account), but you can get a free trial. I must warn you though that if you like it you will cease to have a life. And in my case wife ;)

this is why I hate MMORPGs.

Monthly payments + no time for more fun games = LOSE.

seriously, how can the rat killing and grinding justify paying $15, or £10 a month?

I don't know, but it does. It's no different from Diablo really; kill kill kill kill sell loot kill kill pick up nice sword kill kill.

Doesn't sound very interesting when put like that but you still play it until ungodly hours in the morning.

My problem is a sudden lack of time for much gaming. Played lots when I could in the summer, but with Uni having started back now I'm suddenly snowed under with work. Trying to maintain a bar job and a girlfriend as well mean that I only seem to have about 1 night a week "free", and I seem to be spending that trying to catch up with other friends. Gaming has slipped a bit down my list of priorities, and whilst I still really enjoy it, I always feel guilty that I should be doing something else.

As an aside, I picked up WC3 from the floor in the summer and really enjoyed it. My housemates weren't really interested in LAN games (Worms Forts won out there), but in principle I'd be up for some 5punky Warcrafty goodness.

Tuesday = COD 2 (& UO once a month for nostalgic purposes)
Wednesday = CS:S

As Pixie Pie suggested, we ought to have a night for BF2, EVE, Guild Wars etc...

Also, either I would 5chedule these in for the month for all of you (which will be a pain in the ass), or the moderator/s for each game could do it.

It doesn't take long to add 4 games for the month, but by having them already 5cheduled, it makes things a lot more active, as proven in the past when I did this as a trial.

Of course we will all play games when we feel like, but it makes sense to have some kind of "regular night" for each game, as I believe this is why COD:UO has proven to be so successful on 5punk.

So here's my proposal, feel free to shout out if it doesn't fit in with your spare time very well.

Wednesday = Battlefield 2
Thursday = Guild Wars
Saturday = EVE Online

Thats why I prefer EVE to your average MMO. Its a lot more freeform, so it gives you a lot more options of stuff to do. Plus, when you die in EVE, it actually costs you, which means that the stuff you get has more importance to you. Thats something that others (such as WoW and Guild Wars) dont have; The sense of ownership and achievement.

I would join in with a BF2 game but not at the expense of CSS. although the wednesday games have become a bit barren recently

Sounds good to me. Probably sounds less good to my miss', but never mind.

I just noticed that the server banner thing on CSS doesn't mention 5punk or what we are about, just advertises hostocracy. which I fair enough I guess but would be nice to have it half and half, for the randoms that join

Shirley we don't want randoms?
Shirley we want b3tans and 4rthuns?

A few randoms aren't a bad thing; not all our 5punkers are B3tans. However (in my experience) a lot of CSS players are absolute twunts, and 5punk is the only sanctuary I know from 'ZOMG DGO PNTS U FKNG NOOB!!11!'.

often on CSS games we need some randoms to make up the numbers, not ideal but there wont be much of a game with only 2-3 5punkers. if the randoms annoy we can always kick them.

There clearly needs to be some sort of tournament and the winners get to choose the day that their favorite game belongs on.

THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE! :ninja:

5punk tournament eh? doesnt that defeat the point of 'a kick around in the park' ? or will it be silly tournements? like....catch the badger
