£2500 when I was 18, insurance was a princely £704 for TPFT. Should have gone 2nd hand, but it did allow me to pass my test, and I sold it for a grand less 18 months later.

And I need more than lessons these days. My CBT expired a good 2 years ago so I need to do that again, then re-tax the thing, get an MOT, insure it, oh and put petrol in.

And yea, buzz's first bike was the hairdryer and his second is the lawn mower, owing to the comic high pitched whine that the first gave off as he drove around on it and my fiesta is a purpley blue I will admit, but it still rocks for reasons I won't go into.
