"FatherJack" is usually taken when I sign up for games now, so I go with sirfil (XFire/BF2, real name being Phil) or jellokitty/kittychan (WoW, Eve), and bizarrely (given this thread) ty-chan. But FatherJack's my b3ta name, and the name I signed up here with - in-game people know me as Jack, and that's just fine. No sense confusing everyone.

Edit: I was "scrofula" for a time in the Quake 2 games, still rather like that one.

Simply the childhood disease. Presumably the author thought as I did that it sounded rather horrid.

Never read his books, played a game of them years back and found the jokes in that to be very "Ho-ho, jocular" and didn't exactly piss myself laughing. May well have been a poor represention of his work, was certainly a poor game.
