WUH!!??!?! Rollback, as in time will be reversed to where you were 2 weeks ago? Holy shite that will suck! That kind of error would surely cause some uproarious outrage, ships not lost, POS's not sieged and killed, skillpoints unearned, isk loss/gain. It'll shake the hell out of confidence across the game that people's efforts are for naught if the damn thing happens again.

/me wonders if the op this weekend CAN happen with this development. Maybe I'll just work hard on my basement and hope things are settled down by next weekend....

2 weeks? Well, I guess you don't know your history that well. Castor was 2003. Eve's launch version.

We created a disturbance in the horse! 5punkorp was on the cusp of great profits and astounding rewarding play for it's pilots! The cats were banding together, and the static fried the servers!!

Tis a sign of the Apocalypse! The world is ending!!!

Back to Castor?

Bollocks would it, CCP still have all the internal servers with the Game on. They won't lose a version of the game, worst comes to worse it'll be uncompiled on a workstation somewhere.

BUT, if they lost ALL game data relating to the players. I'd fucking lol, and sign right back up.

It would be glorious, and allow CCP to fix shit loads of economy issues, eg, T2 original bpo's, and caldari pwning all.

Plus only the hardcore eve'ers would remain with lots of people getting pissed off and leaving. Yay for being able to fly around 0.0 and not actually need to worry about meeting anyone as you're the only person in a constellation.

[CCP Zhainus] apparently the new hardware is being overnighted to HQ but the fact it's a Friday does not help
So hardware has officially died.

/me wonders what the total value of their hardWHERE is?
/me also makes 'other' plans for the weekend so as to maximize future Eve time. If they've lost too much data, I might, well F()*&!!, I don't know what I'll do. It's not as if I can afford to start a new account atm, if their data was breached by hacker, I'll need to cancel my debit cards, which will suck. Damn I hate when my plans are crushed!!!

/me wanted to make a couple hundred million this weekend for 'stuff'!!!!

Oh well, if I lose Dres.....
/me starts alternate thread....
