Eek! what?! those things are horrible, they really hurt your hands/wrist and don't have the range of longer barrels. Not too keen on the magazine design either. Still, it's not me using em! :)

Guns! In York! :w00t:

If it's the site I'm thinking off, the owner had me and my mates test it a few years back when he moved from his old site on the other side of the A1. I remember a ctf game where I managed to shoot a marshall in the back, then shot him again in the balls when he turned round. He was standing in between the opposing horses so he deserved it. It has a little stream with a load of smashed up landys parked in a convoy setup next to it, and a castle made out of chip board (just like camelot).

Anery wrote:1. Wonga. Airsoft is cheaper, £25-35 for rental (weapon & 500 bbs) and £15-£20 walk on fee. Ammo is also cheaper about £6 per 500 bbs where as paintball can be anywhere from £5 per 100 and considering it will be an all day thing...

2. Tactics!. In paintball everyone is the same everyone has the same weapon and whilst this may seem to make the game fairer it tends to make it a tad boring. Airsoft has variety, people have specific roles to play (you aint going to get a sniper to go and do a house clearance are ya?) which means you havbe to use proper tactics. And you know the feeling you get when you get the drop on that fucking sniper that has been having your ass for breakfast the past 7 deaths? it is even better for real!

3. Staying Power. Airsoft games can last all day! lots of games involve re-gen/spawn points where you go when you die, this means games can last hours (indeed some events last over weekends) and people are not getting hit within 5 min of each game and having to sit the rest of it out and, lets face it, not really enjoying value for money.
Guessing you've never played real paintball then? Just punterball ;)

1 - £5/6 for a 100 paintballs at a punterday, £20-30 for 2000 paintballs through me.

2 - Theres allsorts of paintball guns thanks :)

And there are tactics in paintball, my teams game (which is next month) is based on a re-invasion of the fawklands.

The next game after that is a much smaller game (60 or so people) in an urban site, which really will involve tactics and alot of teamwork and communication.

3 - The Game I was looking at, is an all day game, so no sitting out unlesds oyu want too, just back to safe zone, wipe off, pod up and get back out there.

They both have similarites, but its impossible to say which is better, they both have different aspects.

My problem with airsoft, is being accused of cheating as I don't notice hits alot of time (I don't in paintball either, but its easier to tell)

The game I was looking at going to is the largest game in Europe, lots of Saturday night shinanigans and stuff, and is pretty central.

If people are interested in coming, could you let me know, I will be making my booking next month hopefully.

Thanks

In for paintball! I brought my equipment over from California and haven't really had a chance to use it much since I've been in Blighty.

Last years big game was a blast, the warped crew are a friendly bunch.
This year the battle will take place at the Swynnerton army training grounds. Also seeing as last year got somewhere near 1.2k people in some shitty field, this year should be even higher. So much rocking shall be had.

Either way, will probably see you on the field ty ;D
