The ranking system in BF2 kind of put me off, its got lovely gameplay etc.. But its too complicated, like you can't pick up and play like you can with CSS (Well, mainly because it takes at least 15minutes to get through the menus and into a server). So yeah. BF2 = Not good. But good, if you see what I mean? Probably not.

eh, you don't need to worry about stats. just pick a kit and start running around and doing the stuff your kit does.

this. all stats do is unlock weapons, and ive already given up on the idea of unlocking a second weapon it would take years

Its not the stats that annoy me most about BF2.. Its just compared to Counterstrike:Source.. it takes 3-4times longer to actually getting down to some fighting, and even then you may not meet someone face to face and shoot them in their face (Or in my case, get shot in the face).. You're more likely to be blown up from some artillery.

Basically, I don't regularly play Shoot-em-ups for long periods of time, and I think with a game like BF2, you need to play it for at least half hour, more often an hour to be able to make it worth waiting through the menus.

But yes, I must say that it is the best in the category of war-games. But not worth it for me, I can see why others would play it, but just not for me.

My friend can't play on ranked servers for some reason?

hmmm, my dad had the game and couldnt play ranked servers, he went to the BF2 website i think and got a patch now he can, dunno what patch though
