Lots of places* have the samsung s1030 at half price, it's quite a nice camera.

i've got a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W30, and i am rather pleased with it, it does exactly what it says on the tin, and with some skills you can still take nice shots with it (do not take any example of the photos i took)
