Try manually setting it to AGP 4x or 2x.

The other hypothesis I've heard is that the MPX boards have a problem supplying enough power through the AGP slot. That's major hassle.

What kind of PSU do you have?

I have the normal alienware 420w psu 12v atx, nothing fancy. I have it set to 4x too. I've checked the agp power and it is around the 1.5v range. I've read that the cat 7.8 CCC has some problems with the drivers for the agp slot so I uninstalled CCC and no luck. I've also read about turning the agp driver in the device manager to a pci to pci bridge and lose the acceleration and that didn't work. It wants to work, I'm just not sure why it's not. It's driving me mad heh. I also don't understand why it would work with FFXI but not any game in Steam, or Eve, or WoW, or GW........

ISTR the x1950pros are only 4x and 8x friendly. 2x might not work, or might make blue smoke, I dunno.
