Soap doesn't get rid of little flying bastards, DeeT does, but it also melts plastic, not good when I have my pc/keyboard/mouse/monitors in close proximity. Mind you, haven't really seen any flies/midges etc here in newcastle, must be a bit cold.

That rather depends on why the flies are buzzing around you in the first place. If you need a more detailed explanation, ask Berk.

I'm warm and tasty and filled with life giving blood. Berk however probably has flies around his suppurating groinal wounds!

sidenote- the shower in the new flat is fucking weird, its good, nice and powerful, (and the water isn't too hard or soft, so soap lathers nicey, whilst the water doesn't taste weird) but sometimes its impossible to turn off, requiring a tea-towel/other grip increasing tool to turn the mixer tap off, other times it practically does it itself.
