You really really should tell us these things. I notice you've been sat there for about a month and I was wondering wth you were doing. We could easily organise a break out and escort op to get you back to Assah, just need to tell us when you're going to be online.

Is stront and jump fuel going to be arranged on an alliance level or is each pilot responsible for his own?

I just don't wanna show up to the party w/o a dress to wear :)

The alliance will cover the majority, but it's well worth you having your own stash of at least 50k isotopes or so just to be on the safe side. You'll be wanting minimum Jump Cal 2 for a dread as well.

Edit: same goes for ammo. We'll have an alliance reserve, but bring some of your own to get things started.

Righto--

Spent the day collecting/moving the following to Nakah:

Myrmidon x2
Domi x1
Mega x1
150k Oxygen Iso's
20k Iron XL
5k Antimatter XL
t2 tank fittings

The BCs + Domi are packaged still. Should I hand them over to the corp. for insurance? I dunno how that should work on the first ships to be insured...

And my Moros is completely fitted now including the siege module (of which I still need Stront for) and Capital Rails for smaking out to 200k+...

Also, my cyno alt is sitting in Nakah but i'm just shy of the amount of liquid ozone to use it (having forgot to restock the stuff).

Just a heads up,

-Miro

Miro, you can fit the ships out before you hand them over for insurance.

HOW IT WORKS:

1. A director or ceo type takes your ship in trade.
2. We place it, already assembled, into a corp hangar. (hence we need to be in a place where we have an office)
3. We insure it with the corp wallet.

Now the ship is insured, and the payout comes back to the corp. It is important to note that we DO NOT know who's ship goes boom in this process, so you will need to let us know the details about it's death (i.e. the killmail at bare minimum) for replacement. Check details in in the corp BS programme thread.

And at the moment we can only really afford to corp insure one ship per person at a time. If insurances start running out on us after 3 months (as I think is about to happen on some of the less active people), it's kinda wasted isk. Which is also why we only do this for people who are confirmed active and taking part in ops :)

Op canceled. We couldn't fulfill all the key planning requirements in time.

We're still extremely appreciative, I'm sure people will need them at some point.

Bugger the drone regions. Unless there's someone fun to shoot there of course :)

Dres - they're all the most popular ships in the corp bs programme. Keep working on it because we will need replacements as a matter of course.

So...

Nothing is going on next weekend then?

That's kind of a let-down actually.

Meh, what kinds of "planning things" failed to be achieved? Sometimes I hate the super-secretiveness of this game. Granted i'm below the shit-slinging level but it brings me back to the big-alliance days where I was asked to "wait here" while stuff went on behind the scenes and at the end it was "go here" as the only explanation. Or better yet (and more likely) "op cancelled."

I'm a tad disappointed. And people wonder why noone shows up to ops...

Meh.

Meh.
An aspect of secrecy was and still is needed, as the plan may be put into motion at a later date. It sucks to be fair, but it's necessary.

However linking this to poor turnout for pvp ops is tenuous at best, there is a huge difference between the ops where we say "we're doing this, fly this" and "something is happenig at this time, sorry we can't say much". People aren't showing up for the more common plenty of information ops, whereas we've only once said "we can't tell you" while in BUM.

We're always at a catch 22 in these situations. We either tell you nothing at all, so you don't get annoyed that you're not 'in the know', and we risk not being ready when the time comes, or we can tell you everything, and risk the op being hopelessly compromised by someone inadvertently and more often than not unknowingly saying the wrong thing to the wrong person. Furthermore, as we have discovered time and time again, trying to plan things with everyone involved leads to a Chinese parliament and nothing ever gets done.

We therefore usually restrict full details to a small planning team who can control the release of information to the Alliance and our allies - giving you enough information so that you know where to be, when and with what ships and then letting you know the detailed aspects of the plan just before kick off. You need to have an element of trust in your leadership that we have everyone's best interests at heart. If you can't or won't trust us, you're in the wrong game.

As eRabbit points out, this is the first op in BUM where we have kept any information from you at all, so don't be all down about it. Secrecy is of paramount importance in this case.

In this case, the op was called off due to lack of funding and insufficient combat horses. The plan is still good though, so if the situation changes with the RSF vs BoB conflict, we may yet be able to pull it off.

Another point: we will of course be doing something next weekend. Just not this op. We'll organize something else to keep the Alliance having fun, as we always do.

If this is back on then I'm really sorry but my attendance to this isn't looking too likely any more. I just realised that the 24th is the Bioshock release date and considering how amazing it looks I doubt I'll be playing anything else until I've completed it.

narf, lately I haven't had enough interest to play much eve and I'm not sure how long that will continue. Things could change by friday but there's no guarantee, if I don't then have fun.

Sorry again.
