I think it would be a rather sick move to use these events to push for ID cards, and I'd lose what little respect I have for any politician that did so.

I doubt it would stop suicide bombers or anyone really determined/fanatical - any move to tighten security to such a degree that it erodes civil liberty is to accede to terrorist wishes. I like to play in City 17, but I wouldn't want to live there.

its crappy for whoever was involved, lot of people near here are getting a bit paranoid because i live pretty close to the airport where the world leaders are landing. but i'm not letting this affect my day-to-day in any way, which is probably the best course of action for most people.
also ID cards are just a way of keeping tabs on people who aren't terrorists, i hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist but i am one so i'll continue. You're going to need a passport in order to get one, passports can be forged with ease and i'm sure that if Al quieda really wanted to they could get plenty of ID cards for there members. secondly really doesn't matter if the person has an ID card or not, it really isn't going to stop him from bombing somewhere nor is it going to reveal anything that could suggest somebody is a potential bomber.

I was in London earlier, coming back from m'holiday. And I was on a coach back to 'Brum by the time the first one went off. They've shut off all coach services to and from Heathrow now. I have no idea what I'd have done if I was stuck in heathrow alone like that.. 'Spose I'm just lucky I got an obscenely early flight.

what he didnt say is that it only consisted of a phone and nothing else
And I bet it wasn't even connected. He just sits there in the cabinet with a disconnected phone. Crying.
